Our Origin Story
Baobab Entertainment was founded in Berlin, Germany by Madalitso Joseph Jelemani, a Malawian-born artist and entrepreneur. After studying film at African Film Drama Academy (AFDA) in Cape Town, South Africa, he was inspired to create a platform that showcases and bridges creative talent to global audience, empowers communities, and fosters innovation in the entertainment industry.

The Launch of Reggae Dancehall Army Africa
Baobab Entertainment’s first groundbreaking project was the formation of the Reggae Dancehall Army Africa G1—a collective of 50 talented musicians and producers from Malawi, South Africa, and Germany. This dynamic group released the “Revolution Album Vol 1”, featuring over 60 outstanding songs and artists, mastered by a renowned German music mastering iconic Producer & Reggae Artist Ganjaman, a key player at the popular Reggae Jam Annual Festival Germany.
Revolution Album Vol 1 not only showcased the richness of African reggae and dancehall music but also helped artists:
